Greig Clark HBA

Even Greig Clark himself would not have imagined that an idea he had to pay his way through university would lead to the establishment of a company that has helped fund the education of thousands of young Canadians. In 1971, while studying at the University of Western Ontario, Mr. Clark launched College Pro Painters which has grown into a cross-Canada enterprise and the largest residential painting company in the world.

Greig Clark attended Brockville Collegiate Institute from 1965 to 1969. While at BCI Mr. Clark was a member of the junior football and basketball teams as well as a member of the gymnastics and lacrosse teams.  In addition he was a member of the debating club and took part in intramurals. Mr. Clark went on to attend the University of Western Ontario and graduated from its Ivey Business School in 1974.

Mr. Clark was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 1979 by the Financial Post and Top Ten Entrepreneur of the Decade in 1990 by Profit magazine. In addition to his work with College Pro Painters Mr. Clark founded and was a managing partner of the Horatio Enterprise Fund from 1992 to 2006 and chief executive officer of ARxx Building Products.

Outside of his entrepreneurial work Mr. Clark served on the boards of the Toronto Christian Resource Centre, Trails for Youth, Trinity College School and on the Ivey Entrepreneurial Advisory Board.
