Mr. Grant spent his entire teaching career at B.C.I. from 1934 to 1973 with a leave of absence for military service e. He was Head of the History Department and in 1955 was appointed Vice Principal, a position he held until the time of his retirement. Mr. Grant, as a leader of the B.C.I. family over the years was a scholar, educator and a gracious gentleman.

"A complete volume would not suffice for me to mention all the features of school life which have so greatly enriched my period of service here, for B.C.I. has been my whole life so far as its purposeful function is concerned. As I look back on the encounters, associations and experiences I have known in this school, I deem myself very fortunate. Everyone in our school community has contributed to make the great B.C.I. spirit a thing to be prized; may we all succeed in proving ourselves worthy of our school."
